	First, beat the game. Now hold L when selecting a new game to play on hard mode.	Unlock Hard Mode

	To get a higher score in a stage, complete the stage in a short amount of time, have as much life left as you can when you reach the end, and kill as many enemies as possible along the way. If you are not satisfied with your score, reset and try again. The bonus moves and armor you unlock depend on your high scores when you complete the eight stages.	Hint: Getting High Scores
	On Hard Mode, you normally can't charge any weapons other than the boomerang, but here's a way to get around that. First, equip the boomerang as your secondary weapon. Next, charge your saber. Then, equip the element you want. Now you can charge it!	Charging Weapons on Hard Mode

	Alternate Zero armors	Successfully complete the game on the easy, normal, and hard difficulty settings. Then, press Start and press L or R until you get to a menu with Zero's helmet with a different color. There are pink, black, and red versions.
	Become near Invincble	To become almost invincble, you must have all of the energy tanks, all the bodies, legs, and helmets, and weapons. Now equip the "Ultimate Foot" foot chip which contains every foot effect, the "Absorb" body chip which wil insure you do not flinch when hit, the "Auto-Charge" head chip so that you wont have to take the time to charge your weapon, and "No Element" chip so you wont have any potential weakness in your attack. Also make the Z-Saber your main weapon and Recoil Rod as your sub weapon so you can reach high heights and attack enemies at a semi-ranged distance. Make sure you've made all Cyber Elves that can improve Zero's stats grown-up and used, because that'll make you that much better. Always keep your sub tanks full incase an emergency healing is needed. I hope this hint helps!

Power: ***, Defense: **, Speed: * X Form (Dark Blue) Buster becomes more powerful while shooting a charged shot; you can now fire more quickly. Kill 50 enemies with Buster Gun to unlock. Power: ***, Defense: **, Speed: *** Power Form (Purple) Always biggest saber edge.Pull anything 30 times with the Chain Rod (even slightly) to unlock. You can now do roll saber attacks, and more damage while jumping. Kill 20 enemies with Dash Slice attack to unlock. 	Combo	Equip Ultimate Form, then use Buster Shot. Keep pressing Down/Forward + B (for Buster attack). Anything in front of you will be obliterated.
	Easy lives	Keep returning to The Desert Ambush to gain more 1-ups.
	Elemental Chips and Ex-abilities	You can use certain Elemental Chips with Zero's Ex-abilities. There is no need to charge up the Z-Saber (except for the Z-Buster).
	Fire chip	Press Up + Attack (similar to Zero's X4 move). Charged Buster (sparks are left after hitting an enemy) Lightning chip Press Dash + Attack (a lightning sword pierces through an enemy) Charged Buster (a ball of electricity) Press Down + Attack in mid-air (another of Zero's X4 move). 	Gain more level with Chain Rod	Keep hitting on a life or money object to earn more attack points.
	Graphics gallery	Successfully complete the game on the hard difficulty setting. Then, highlight the "New Game" option and hold Select + L + A. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound.

	Using the Whip	Not only can the Whip get far items, but it can also move some heavy cubes and perform a swinging move. Hold B while in the air, and when it grapples onto something, press Left or Right to swing. Release B to let go the Whip.
