Thruster Triangle......... Strong Punch Cirlce........... Strong Kick X................ Weak Punch Square........... Weak Kick Direction Pad.... Movement -+- Other Gundam Pilot Techniques -+- Dash: This can be done by simply pressing a direction (left or right) twice relatively quickly. You can dash backwards or forward, depending on where you want to go. Use this to rush stunned opponents, or to get back out of the way of certain attack. Dodge: Defending your mobile suit is a big part of the game, since every victory can’t be flawless. Depending on the type of suit you have, you will either dodge (get out of the way) or block (use a shield) to counter the attacks. It is always a good idea to block someone else’s mega special attack. Remember, after blocking an attack, you can dash right after and possibly catch the enemy off guard. Thrusting: Use R1 to control your thrusters. These will allow you to fly for brief periods of time until your gauge runs out. When the thrusters are not in the use the gauge will replenish itself. Use the thrusters to get behind opponents, dodge attacks, and use aerial maneuvers and to knock opponents down out of the air. Stun: Stun attacks are basically used to get your enemy still for a couple seconds. If you’re not near overheating them and want to do your mega, use this so they can’t block it. Remember, stun moves can be blocked and countered, so be careful. The command for a stun move is Right + Triangle (assuming your facing right, otherwise its Left + Triangle). Mega Specials: Mega moves are basically your finishing move, and typically you’re most powerful attack. Certain suits have mega special moves more powerful than others. Remember you only have three of these to use in a match, so conserve them wisely and only use them when your opponent cannot block them. The command for a mega special move is Right, Down + any two of the attack buttons. If you are facing left it is Left, Down + any two of the attack buttons. -+- Game Modes and Options -+- Within the game there are several options you have for what you want to play, and by playing certain modes, you can even unlock others. Street Mode: This is the main part of the game to begin with, and everything basically revolves around it (whether it’s unlocking something or whatever.) You will pick one of 5 possible pilots to start with (8 eventually) and fly eight missions with each (a mission is just a fight) and if you’re playing on hard you can unlock other modes and mobile suits. Versus CPU: This is just a one time, 1v1 match with you fighting a computer controlled opponent. Difficulty obviously varies depending on what your difficulty level is, but it’s a great forum for practicing. Versus Player 2: The good old player 1 vs. player 2 mode, which obviously pits you against another human controlled mobile suit. For more information on this see the versus mode strategy section. Time Attack A: In this mode you have to win and the timer is running now! Defeat 8 randomly selected mobile suits in the quickest time possible. You can view your score and compare it to the others in the record option. Time Attack B: Sort of like A, except this time you are being time while fighting the 4 bosses. Obviously time expectancies are a little but lower, but don’t underestimate the bosses. You may also check scores for this mode in the record option. Survival: Kind of like a gauntlet mode, just go through and see how many wins you can pile up without dying. Feel free to send in your records and I’ll post a scoreboard if there are enough. ____ ___ ___ / __ )/ | |__ \=========================================================== / __ / /| | __/ / CHAPTER 2: / /_/ / ___ |/ __/ The Walkthrough /_____/_/ |_/____/============================================================ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Endless Duel” – Piloted by Heero Yuy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle # 1: Combatant: Duo Maxwell Mobile Suit: Deathscythe Hell Custom Strategy: Duo is a pretty easy first fight, and you should take advantage of this to get used to Heero’s moves and abilities. Practice using all of your set moves, as well as other combinations you can come up with. Learn how to be able to pull your mega-finisher right when you need it. Duo will not use very many of his set moves, more just punch and kicks and stuff. Once you have him overheated, hit the button sequence and use the Beam Rifle (mega) it should do a lot of damage. Be careful though, don’t waste your mega moves, you only have 3, and if he uses his shield they don’t really do very much. AFTER: Duo: “C’mon! Give me a break!” Heero: “I only execute my missions.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 2: Combatant: Quatre Mobile Suit: Sandrock Custom Strategy: Another simple and straight forward fight, this will give you time before you get into the real fights to master what you started to learn in the Duo fight. Sandrock doesn’t carry and extra weapons like a beam saber or scythe, but it is pretty quick so watch out. If he goes to the air, use the rising bird tackle to knock him back down, then follow up with the buster rifle to hopefully over heat him. Pull the mega and you should be good to go for the rest of the fight, since he won’t have much health left anyway. BEFORE: Quatre: “I will fight for what I believe in!” Heero: “Oh really?” Quatre: “So you wont back off afterall?” AFTER: Quatre: “We shouldn’t fight.” Heero: “I protest, I must fight.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 3: Combatant: Mikhail Mobile Suit: N/A Strategy: This is the first fight where you will actually have to really do something to win. This suit stays very low to the ground most of the time, and blocks just about everything, so your going to have to either try to lure it up into the air, or get in very close and tackle it so you can use the beam rifle. If this fight gives you trouble at first, just keep at it and you’ll get used to his style of fighting. He does have pretty good range so be ready to block and unexpected lower attack. AFTER: Heero: “Why do you fight me?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 4: Combatant: Wufei Chang Mobile Suit: Gundam Altron Strategy: Wufei actually gives you a pretty good fight assuming your not playing on a very low difficulty level. On hard he is quite a fierce warrior. Altron has very good reach with that claw arm, and it can knock you back and then pull combo’s while your out of control. You need to end this fight as quick as possible before he has a chance to his mega. When he reaches at you with the claw, go in law and try to tackle him. When he gets up, before he can block use the machine canons and then the beam saber to try and overheat him, from there it just depends on whether or not you can pull the mega. BEFORE: Wufei: “Our only purpose in life is to fight! Heero show me what true justice is!” Heero: “Wufei...” AFTER: Heero: “How many more will be destroyed?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 5: Combatant: Gato Mobile Suit: N/A Strategy: This fight should not be nearly as difficult as Wufei. Although he is extremely large, avoiding his better attacks will allow you to cause much more damage than he can. He is not very fast or mobile, and most of his attacks can be avoided by simple thrusting or ducking. A good way to do a lot of damage quick is to use the thrusters to get behind him, and pull your mega before he can turn. He is so big you can’t miss and since he is turned around he will feel the full affects of it. Also use the machine canon, which can block the projectiles it shoots off at you. AFTER: Heero: “Whoever gets in my way is the enemy.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 6: Combatant: Trowa Barton Mobile Suit: Heavy Arms Custom Strategy: To be honest this is the fight I had the most trouble with during the entire story line. He is much quicker than you think at first, and can do mass damage while your trying to get a combo off and then you lose the whole string anyway. Watch out for his mega, which if you’re not way ahead when he pulls it could cause you to lose. Remember to block when he uses his twin auto canons, and try to avoid the missiles, especially if your in the air. The twin beams are a good way to get him overheated, which of course allows you to use the beam rifle. DO NOT try to use the beam rifle mega when he is no down, or he will just block it, he is good enough that you most likely wont be able to get behind him fast enough to use it effectively. AFTER: Heero: “Let your emotions guide you.” Trowa: “Emotions?...” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 7: Combatant: Zechs Marquise Mobile Suit: Tallgeese III Strategy: On hard, Zechs is easily your equal, and will give you a run for your money if you don’t get rid of him quickly. He goes to the air a lot, since Tallgeese if a relatively quick mobile suit. Use the machine canon to knock him down, or use the rising bird tackle if your close enough and then have the beam saber started for when he gets up. Once he’s stunned use the beam rifle. If you are way behind and tie is running out, you can try to use the beam rifle, but it will probably be blocked. Zechs and Trowa are probably the most worthy opponents in this story sequence. BEFORE: Zechs: “This battle will win nothing, but as a true warrior I must taste battle with you.” Heero: “All right, come on!” AFTER: Heero: “What will the future be like in my hands?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 8 - FINAL BATTLE: Combatant: Treize Mobile Suit: Gundam Epyon Strategy: This was actually a pretty disappointing battle. Trowa and Zech’s were definitely harder than Treize with Epyon. He doesn’t really seem to use any of the suits capabilities. Watch out for the tail, and just keep your distance all together. Use the machine canons and twin rifles to render him over heated, and then as usual the beam rifle to finish him off. It may take 2 or even 3 times doing so to kill him, but he is a boss after all. In my times playing him he never even got off his mega, so I can’t really say it’s a big threat. BEFORE: Treize: “Its not whether you win or lose, but how you fight.” Heero: “I only do as I am ordered.” AFTER: Treize: “The path of mankind is selfish, but I will not speak of what lies ahead.” Heero: “Peace settled by violence will not last; we should be the only ones to die.” MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Black Death” – Piloted by Duo Maxwell ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******************************************************************************* Battle # 1: Combatant: Quatre Mobile Suit: Sandrock Custom Strategy: I think I’m noticing a pattern here, Quatre is an easy fight. He almost never does his mega, and almost stands there and lets you wail on him. Now these fights are a little tougher than when you had Heero, because your mega is way, way weaker. Your going to have to depend a lot more on your other attacks to get to a point where your mega can actually do what its supposed to. Use the swinging scythe a lot, that does decent damage, and you can also swat away any projectiles and stuff shot at you. AFTER: Duo: “Hey! Sorry! I’m in a hurry!” Quatre: “He’s gone, why do we always resort to violence.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 2: Combatant: Char Aznable Mobile Suit: Sazabi Strategy: This is another one of your straight forward, just hurry up and get it done fights. He doesn’t do a heck of a lot more than Quatre, but at least when he does he seems to move a little more. He goes to the air a lot (in my experiences) so use swinging scythe to knock him down, and then follow up with the machine guns. Basically just kind of play cat and mouse with him, using your thrusters to keep switching sides and hitting him a couple times. Simple fight, you should not have any problems at all. AFTER: Duo: “Your all going to die! Anyone in my way will perish!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 3: Combatant: Wufei Chang Mobile Suit: Gundam Altron Strategy: I was also a little bit disappointed with the fight Altron put up this time as well, in the Heero sequence he was one of the stronger enemies. As long as you avoid the dragon claw/arm you should be ok. He doesn’t use his mega a lot, and when he does if your out of range it doesn’t matter anyway. Try to stay behind him a lot if you think he’s going to use it. He will block your mega if you don’t catch him when he’s coming up from overheat, so make sure you can time it right. This should not be a difficult fight, if it was, you are going to have trouble in the near future. AFTER: Wufei: “The just must be strong.” Duo: “Cant we relax? C’mon, loosen up!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 4: Combatant: Trowa Barton Mobile Suit: Heavy Arms Custom Strategy: As usual Trowa means its time for business to pick up. As you should already know, he is capable of doing mass damage very quickly with his mega, so your going to have to watch yourself if it gets close near the end. He gets his shooting attacks off quick and can cut off your moves, so you need to block when you can and try to get behind him for your mega if possible. He doesn’t go to the air a lot, use this to your advantage. It seems like everything he does is for big damage, so just make sure your retaliating! BEFORE: Duo: “Trowa! What do you think you are doing? Get outta the way!” Trowa: “I have some business to take care of myself.” Duo: “Oh yeah? Well, then I’ll have to force my way through!” AFTER: Duo: “You tricked me into fighting you!” Trowa: “They’ll get suspicious if I don’t act this way.” Duo: “You haven’t changed at all!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 5: Combatant: Gato Mobile Suit: N/A Strategy: Wow it’s very interesting how a fight can become much harder depending on what mobile suit you’re in. This was not a very difficult fight with Heero and Wing Zero, but with Duo it’s a little different. You’re going to want to move around a lot more, because you don’t really have as much fire power as Heero in way of your mega or other moves. Try to stay up in the air when you can, and use swinging scythe to knock down his projectiles. If your playing on Hard this will probably come down to the wire, don’t feel to bad about being repetitive with your moves, its ok since he’s bigger than you. AFTER: Duo: “Better than I expected.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 6: Combatant: Heero Mobile Suit: Wing Zero Custom Strategy: *Dun dun dun!* Well it had to happen sometime, so it might as well be now. Heero is not quite as difficult as I expected, but he did rally back at the end and gave a run for my money. For the love of god don’t get hit with the Beam rifle unprotected, I had him almost dead and got a little careless, my mistake. If you’re paying attention, you should be able to get your Vulcan guns off before his machine canons. Try to watch out if you have to go to the air, he does have an advantage in the rising bird tackle. Use swinging scythe and beam sickle to overheat, and then “Slash, slash, slash!” BEFORE: Duo: “I never thought I’d fight you like this!” Heero: “Are those your final words?” Duo: “Heh! You know, your as friendly as ever!” AFTER: Heero: “I don’t need your pity.” Duo: “You say the wrong thinks at the wrong time. Don’t you want to survive?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 7: Combatant: Zechs Marquise Mobile Suit: Tallgeese III Strategy: Zechs is more than a match for you on hard, and my disliking Duo’s mobile suit isn’t helping things. He is constantly moving, which gave me a little trouble the first time. Your going to have to get this over relatively quickly, because Zechs seems to have an itchy trigger finger when it comes to using his mega. Use the Beam sickle followed by the Vulcan guns in succession to create a little mini-combo, maybe 9-10 hits. ONLY use his mega when you’re certain it will hit, as you know it doesn’t do big time damage, so you need to conserve them. Use the swinging scythes and higher kicks to pull of smaller combos as well. BEFORE: Zechs: “Welcome gundam pilot, I have a feeling this is going to be my lucky day.” Duo: “Oh yeah, is that your greeting? Well let this be mine in return!” AFTER: Duo: “That was close!” Zechs: “How could I lose?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 8: Combatant: Treize Mobile Suit: Epyon Strategy: Well I kind of joked about this fight when I was piloting Wing Zero Custom, but it is certainly not the case with Deathscythe (As you have probably already picked up on, I’m not too great with this suit). Anyway, he’s pretty quick, so always be ready for a dodge or thrust to get out of the way. Use that same mini-combo that you used against Tallgeese III, the Beam sickle and Vulcan guns, and try to block anything you can with the swinging scythe. I’m guessing I was lucky he didn’t have a chance to pull out his mega, but I almost wished he had just so I could see what it was. Congratulations, you’ve beaten another sequence! BEFORE: Duo: “So you’re the one they call Treize huh? I guess I’ll just have to find out!” Treize: “I’m honored that you know my name, show me your strength as a gundam pilot!” AFTER: Treize: “Losers are many in the history of war, we only needs to be the foundation of peace.” Duo: “Though our aims are the same, this is the only way we can accomplish it.” Duo: “We are the greatest partners! Aren’t we Deathscythe!” MISSION ACCOMPLISHED ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Peace Craft” – Piloted by Zechs Marquise ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******************************************************************************* Battle # 1: Combatant: Wufei Chang Mobile Suit: Gundam Altron Strategy: Well depending on what difficulty level your on, this fight is either very, very easy, or just kind of moderately not so hard. Its pretty easy to use the canons on Wufei, as well as catching him in a non-defensive position to use the Mega Canon. At the start of the fight, use the canon plus and then use the beam saber. Don’t use a mega up until his meter is down in the bright orange. Now you can use two of them when you can get them off. Save the other to finish him with because it looks cool. AFTER: Wufei: “I can’t even deliver justice! How pathetic!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 2: Combatant: Trowa Barton Mobile Suit: Heavy Arms Custom Strategy: Assuming your playing on easy, because once you’ve unlocked the Tallgeese III, you might as well take a break and have some fun. This fight should be a piece of cake. Stay right up in Trowa’s face, and when he goes to pull his guns, use a sweeping low kick or the whip to knock him down, and be waiting with the mega for when he gets up. Feel free to use your canon and canon plus, just try not to waste all the ammo early or the fight can drag on. Just block anything he shoots at you, or try to anyway, and then just finish as soon as possible. AFTER: Zechs: “We need you now. Don’t waste your lives.” Trowa: “You... need us?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 3: Combatant: Judau Mobile Suit: RX-78 Strategy: The only reason this clown wasn’t the victim of a flawless victory is because he sucked so much I fell asleep during the match and he his mega off. That was the only time I was hit during the battle. The best way to finish this fight quick is to simply keep attacking, non-stop. Don’t wait for him to attack, the best defense is offense. Stay up in his grill like Trowa, and then use your finisher when you have him overheated and stunned. AFTER: Zechs: “Leave me alone!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 4: Combatant: Quatre Mobile Suit: Sandrock Custom Strategy: Well, for a second Zechs is pretty sentimental, AFTER he beats up the young kid that is. Use the knuckle when Quatre tries to come in close with his blades, and use your specials off the stun move. Quatre is not an overpowering opponent, but he is one who can go off on a little combo stint, so just be careful in close. When you use your mega attacks, its not really going to matter if one gets blocked, you should be way out in front anyway, just make sure you land at least one. Keeping that in mind you should have no problems what so ever with him. AFTER: Quatre” “Weakness... my weakness invites evil.” Zechs: “Such a young kid in a combat... is this a sign of the times? ******************************************************************************* Battle # 5: Combatant: Duo Maxwell Mobile Suit: Deathscythe Hell Custom Strategy: Duo and the Deathscythe might take a little longer to dispose of than the others before it simply because he blocks little but more, and he might be able to teleport out of the way of some of your moves. Catch him in the air, and then use the low kicks to get him down, which should of course be followed by mega canon! Use the light saber because you can and it looks pretty cool. One advantage you have is that usually the light saber comes out so slow you get hit first. But Duo takes even longer to swing his scythe around, so you should be able to use it. AFTER: Duo: “Hurry up and finish me off!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 6: Combatant: Treize Mobile Suit: Gundam Epyon Strategy: Well Epyon always starts out as a very easy fight, bombard him with everything you have early and try to get this over as soon as possible. Because once he gets down far enough apparently the AI goes insane. For the love of god, the computer will do more damage in like 3 seconds once you get to that point than it did the entire first half of the fight, it’s ridiculous. WATCH OUT for the stupid thing where he dives into you and pushes you, this gets you backed into a corner and he will kick the crap out of you with the whip. Now on easy you shouldn’t have any trouble, but on hard, be careful. BEFORE: Zechs: “Treize, I can never be your friend.” Treize: “That’s too bad. It’s sad that we live in such times.” AFTER: Zechs: “Another place, another time, we could have been best friends.” Treize: “Things do not always go as you wish.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 7: Combatant: Heero Yuy Mobile Suit: Wing Zero Custom Strategy: This is another fight that’s going to simply vary with the level of difficulty that you’re playing on. On easy, you should to away with Wing Zero quite quickly, but on hard he stays around a bit longer. If you go to the air, watch out for the rising bird tackle, it gives him a chance to take cheap shots while you’re down. Also make sure that you DON’T waste your mega’s. If you always seem to need another one later in the fight, your wasting them. Always make sure you have at least one left for when the enemy hits dark orange. BEFORE: Heero: “I’ll kill you.” Zechs: “Come on. Pray this fight will mean something.” AFTER: Heero: “I don’t understand. Is there peace at the end of the battle?” Zechs: “After our battles, people must have courage to attain peace.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 8: Combatant: Valdor Mobile Suit: Hydra-Gundam Strategy: Yes there is good reason to ask if that’s really the hydra gundam, because if your playing on hard and your not that great with Tallgeese, get ready for a barn burner. For gods sake I don’t know how many times I can get him down to where I only have to hit him one more time and he goes through a whole health bar before I can! A bit ridiculous if you ask me, I’m noting the CPU seems to have a little “We’re about to lose, get ridiculously strong mode” or something. Anyway, GET THIS OVER AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. As I said, don’t give him a chance to come back, because he will. MAKE SURE your megas land, because once your out of ammo, its very difficult to win. BEFORE: Zechs: “Is that really the Hydra-Gundam?” Valdor: “There are so many unexpected things in this world, what you see before you is reality.” AFTER: Zechs: “No we don’t have to fight anymore, the world does not need us anymore.” Zechs: “My mission is finished. I will leave the rest for the next generation.” MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “One Year War” – Piloted by Amuro ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******************************************************************************* Battle # 1: Combatant: Denim Mobile Suit: Zaku Strategy: As with most first fights, this one is not much of a challenge. Watch out for his guns later in the fight, if he makes it that long. Knock him down and use your mega, it seems to do more damage when they’re on the ground. This fight will most likely be over very soon, just use all 3 as soon as you get a good chance to land them. I don’t really know what else to say about this fight, common sense kind of wins it for you... AFTER: Denim: “A white mobile suit... is that the federations new model?” Amuro: “I did it!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 2: Combatant: Char Mobile Suit: Sazabi Strategy: Get used to dealing with Char, this is the first of a few times you will see him in this sequence. Although he will not always be piloting Sazabi, his style is always kind of the same. Get the first shots off and you should be good to go for the rest of the fight. Use canons or something knock him down at beginning of the fight, then use mega hammers while he’s down. You should probably be able to get him down a meter before you even get hit. He doesn’t seem to do well if you can back him up into a corner either, so try that and then use lower sweeping kicks. BEFORE: Char: “Im going to teach you that your mobile suit has its limits when it goes up against red comet.” Amuro: “A red mobile suit?” AFTER: Char: “The Federations mobile suit is a monster!” Amuro: “Did I do it?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 3: Combatant: Mikhail Mobile Suit: Hygogg Strategy: If among the Mobile Suits, there is once wuss, it has got to be Hygogg. No matter what difficulty I play on, he always seems to suck. He does his megas to late in the fight when he has no chance, and he never seems to block mine when he does have one. Get the first shot in, something low like a kick, then just keep hi backed up into one side until hes over heated. Use your mega’s and end this. Right before he loses he’ll probably start to pull his megas, don’t worry about it, he should be so far behind it doesn’t matter. AFTER: Amuro: “Nobody told me about that model.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 4: Combatant: Akahana Mobile Suit: N/A Strategy: Not much better than Zaku, atleast in this sequence, Akahana seems to be another waste fight just leading up to the tougher ones. Use pretty much the same strategies you did against Zaku and Hygogg. This suit might be a little more defensive than the others, so it may take just a tad longer, but not to much. I am noticing a trend, and this is only on hard of course, but Epyon and Heavy Arms seem to be head over heels better than the other suits, with the exception of Wing Zero (which the CPU doesn’t play well with). AFTER: Amuro: “Idiot.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 5: Combatant: Char Mobile Suit: N/A Strategy: Bah, I told you he would be back and he’s even more boring than the first time! I apologize if I sound negative, but I’ve been playing this game for 4 hours, my thumb has the biggest blister on human record, and they keep throwing waste of time fights that just make it worse at me. For the love of god just let me fight the boss and be done with it! Anyway, It’s not even worth re-wording the strategy from the first Char fight, since he plays the same anyway, just use that strategy again. BEFORE: Char: “I was careless to let you get this close!” Amuro: “Is that him?” AFTER: Char: “Who is the Gundam pilot? Amuro: “Is Char a new type?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 6: Combatant: Shiroh Mobile Suit: N/A Strategy: Back a bit I said if there was a wuss among mobile suits it was Hygogg, well then Shiroh must have been his running mate. Good god I’m playing on hard and they suck. Use a low kick to knock him down a couple times, use your mega when hes turned around or on the ground, and then use canons and stuff to wear down the rest of his HP. This sequence is MUCH, MUCH weaker than the other Endless Waltz ones, as far as competition from your enemies goes. Heavy Arms and Epyon make this look like a cake walk. AFTER: Amuro: “I am the best pilot for Gundam!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 7: Combatant: Dozul Mobile Suit: Big-Zam Strategy: Finally. A fight with a challenge! Zam is friggin’ huge so your going to have to stay out of the way of his legs, since when he walks and your right there it does way more damage than it should. Block the projectiles he shoots and shield yourself from his beams. Use your mega when your right under him, and then try to jump up and get at his head, so your not running the risk of his legs. If you can get behind him at the beginning of the fight, it takes second for him to turn around, and you can get some free shots in. Improvise, on hard this fight should go down to the wire. BEFORE: Amuro: “You monster, its to much!” Dozul: “Once the Big-Zam is mass produced, we’ll put an end to the federation in no time.” AFTER: Dozul: “For the glory of Zeon!” Amuro: “Will this never end?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 8: Combatant: Char Mobile Suit: Zeong Strategy: Hmmm... I thought to myself “Hey, Matt this is finally getting a little harder” during the Zam fight, and this is the boss?! THIS?! Anyway, use the same strategy as before, apparently giving Char a little bit better suit was going to make him not suck, well it didn’t work. Only difference is you will probably take a little more damage, but in no way should this fight be a threat, and even on hard the majority of the time. BEFORE: Amuro: “You should know our true enemy is the Zabi family, why are you getting in my way?” Char: “You’re the strongest soldier, that’s why.” AFTER: Char: “I could never forgive the Zabi family. I will settle this.” Amuro: “Char...” Amuro: “Sorry, Lalah. I still do have a place to go home to.” MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “King of Hearts” – Piloted by Domon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******************************************************************************* Battle # 1: Combatant: George Mobile Suit: Gundam Rose Strategy: This is a pretty annoying little fight for those of you (like I was) who were under the impression the first one was always a cake walk. Rose uses a fencing style that can do quick damage, that eventually adds up. Use your canons to quickly stun Rose and then your mega. 95% of the time George won’t be able to block this procedure right off the bat of the fight. You need to come out strong, because if Rose gets you up against the corner George can do a lot quick. Don’t use all 3 mega’s to early, you might need one in case it comes to the time limit. AFTER: Domon: “Do you know the guy in this picture?” George: “You have my apologies, for I do not know him.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 2: Combatant: Chibodee Mobile Suit: Gundam Maxter Strategy: Well since you didn’t get a pretty easy fight to start with, this one kind of makes up for it. Use the same move off the break (stun and mega) to get ahead quick and you shouldn’t have trouble staying there. Chibodee’s mega isn’t very powerful to begin with, and when he pulls it, you can easily block or move. Use the knee move to knock him down and then time when he will come up with your mega. If you do it to late he’ll move, and to early most of it will miss and he’ll jump out of the way after only a little damage. BEFORE: Domon: “Hey do you know who this guy is?” Chibodee: “Well, if you can beat me, then Ill tell you what you want to know.: Domon: “Lets go for it, then! Gundam Fight!” Chibodee: “Ready! Go!” AFTER: Chibodee: “Who do you think you are!? How dare you! Domon: “Wait! Do you know this guy?” Chibodee: “Huh? Never seen him before.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 3: Combatant: Gato Mobile Suit: GP-O2A Strategy: Gato, Gato, Gato can’t you see, some times you suck so bad, it bores me. Yes I know I’m no Biggie smalls, but Gato is a pretty sorry third battle. Catch him off the break with a mega and then sweep him a couple time and use your canons. You can get behind him since he’s not that fast (an example of a fast suit would be like Zaku IIs). He has never pulled his finisher on me, so I don’t think he does a lot on the game in general. Usually this is a quick fight, just keep taking it to him and don’t give him a chance to recover. It will probably be pretty close, quick, but close. AFTER: Domon: “You know anything about the guy in this picture?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 4: Combatant: Argo Mobile Suit: Bolt Gundam Strategy: God this thing is q little quicker than it looks, so watch out with your assumptions. This is a moderately hard fight then playing on hard, so if your not paying attention you could lose. Hit him off the break with a high kick (use thrusters) and then get behind him for the mega. If you blocked the kick (I played him a couple times and he didn’t if it was timed right) try to catch him over with the canons and then the mega. Keep in mind you can always add to your mega, which is usually around a 40 hit combo, by doing other movements quick enough after you can add to this, doing better damage for less. BEFORE: Argo: “Gundam!? What are you doing here?!” Domon: “I’m searching for this man. Do you know where he is?” Argo: “Why should I trust you? Here’s the deal: If you can defeat me, I will answer you. AFTER: Argo: “Well, you seem like a good guy. I can tell by the way you handle your saber.” Domon: “I’m looking for this guy, have you seen him?” Argo: “No. He hasn’t come around here, but I hope you can find him.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 5: Combatant: Dozul Mobile Suit: Big-Zam Strategy: Hmmm... Zam is a pretty annoying fight with all the of the characters he affects. I’m not really sure why he is in this sequence, since Domon isn’t really waging a war against Zeon, just trying to find his brother. Anyway, right off the bat of the fight, use a mega which he obviously can block. Now get behind him via your thrusters, and everytime he tries to corner you and walk on you repeat this. Use your megas right away if you want to, he can’t block them anyway. Now once those are gone, you want to stay up in the air as much as possible, and use your thrusters to avoid his bombs and missiles. Use the burning finger to keep up in the air and do damage around the head. AFTER: Domon: “Brother!... Kyoji! Where in the world are you?!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 6: Combatant: Sai Mobile Suit: Dragon Gundam Strategy: The Dragon Gundam is a pretty quick mobile suit and just when you think you have it done, it comes back with some ridiculous combo and sends you to the kitchen cursing how the CPU cheats when its losing. Anyway, get this over as soon as possible, not giving him a chance to get you stuck up against one of the sides. Use your mega, and try that stunning him right off the start technique. This fight will probably go down to the wire assuming your playing on hard. AFTER: Sai: “Hey, bro. Take it easy on me.” Domon: “You first.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 7: Combatant: Master Asia Mobile Suit: Master Gundam Strategy: Wow this isn’t exactly what I thought the Master Gundam would look like, and I hope its better than Asia makes it out to be, because this actually is not that difficult for a 7th battle. Try to keep him out of the air and avoid his projectiles. Stun him when your in close and use your megas, its key that all three of them are not blocked, and are landed. Now when you have him down, try to get behind him and not stay still, so the computer can’t pull its bull shit comeback thing on you. Now on to the final fight! BEFORE: Asia: “School of Touhou Fuhai! The winds of the king! Zenshin! Keiretsu!” Domon: “Tenpakyouran!” Asia: “Look! The east...” Domon: “... is burning red!” AFTER: Asia: “Domon, my dear student, don’t tarnish the name of “King of Hearts.” Domon: “Master? Of course, Master!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 8: Combatant: Kyoji Mobile Suit: Dark Gundam Strategy: This is a relatively difficult fight, Dark Gundam has lots of little surprises he likes to throw at you, which happen to come at all the wrong times for you. But hey, at least you finally found your brother! Anyway you are definitely going to have to block any of his megas, and dodge those things that come out of the ground, as well as make sure that all 3 of your megas are landed. Otherwise, the chances of you doing enough damage quick enough are severely out of your favor. BEFORE: Kyoji: “Welcome my dear little brother, Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!” Domon: “Enough! You think your so funny because your mother is dead and your father is suspended in animation, Ive waited for this day! Your not gonna get away with this!” Watch Cut Scene (pretty cool eh?) AFTER: Kyoji: “I love you, I want to be with you! Rain!” MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Red Comet” – Piloted by Char Aznable ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******************************************************************************* Battle # 1: Combatant: Ball Gundam Mobile Suit: Shiroh Strategy: Wow. A while ago in one of the sequences I said that one of the Gundams was the worth ever. I am changing my mind, it HAS to be ball. There is really no strategy for this fight, but this is a good chance to vent all your anger from loses and frustration from the game. Just go and beat the hell out of him, he is so pathetic that’s theres really nothing he can do about it. Have fun, vent, and get ready for the next fight. AFTER: Shiroh: “Damn.” Char: “They must be cornered if they’re going to use that kind of Mobile Suit.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 2: Combatant: Denim Mobile Suit: Zaku Strategy: Uh oh Zaku vs. Zaku IIS! Whose gonna win?! Well hopefully Zaku II since it’s a way better suit and your flying it. Make good use of its outstanding speed and thruster capabilities, quicker than even Wing Zero. Use your megas after a stun move, since you have to be close to use the fist. The rifle is pretty handy dandy and quick. A lot of these fights will be over fast, since you move so quickly its hard for them to damage you. Just keep alternating sides, and hovering around if you have to and keep chopping them down a little by little. AFTER: Char: “Get back. You Zaku won’t do.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 3: Combatant: Judau Mobile Suit: Gundam ZZ Strategy: Aside from just being annoying at how it seems to absorb everything taking less damage than it should, this is not a very tough fight. You can play with Zaku on either hard or easy, but remember to unlock some things you will HAVE to do it on hard later, so might as well get it over with. Use the fist after stuns and the rifle when he tries to go to the air, because he’s pretty clumsy since he’s bigger than you. If you can, just stay inside right up in his face and keep using physical attacks and combos to knock him down then repeat. AFTER: Char: “Because you are a brat.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 4: Combatant: Akahana Mobile Suit: Acguy Strategy: Yeah, I’m thinking Acguy sucks almost as bad as ball. He never blocks your mega, and walks right into other stuff, and his mega is so easy to get out of the way of, its almost comical. He is like a little toy robot going around. This is another where you can just go out and have some fun, because he sucks so bad. Use the rifle and you can tear the front of him clean off, and use your mega’s as you see fit, you probably don’t even need them, but use ‘em for good measure. AFTER: Char: “Akahana! What are you up to?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 5: Combatant: Mobile Suit: Strategy: HA! Finally a suit that actually has an advantage over Big-Zam and fights him during their sequence (I know I’m not the only one who’d love to fight him with Wing Zero). Your thrusters are about to become the downfall of Big-Zam. Use all three of your Megas at the beginning of the fight, in this order. First, right off the bat use one, then thrust over his head and get behind him and use the other 2. Then thrust back behind him again when he turns around. Now, use your thrusters to hover right around his head and keep kicking and punching etc... This will keep you away from his legs, and you can still dodge his missiles! BEFORE: Char: “That’s the Big...Big-Zam?!” Dozul: “I think I will test the power of my Big-Zam. Are you ready to play?” AFTER: Dozul: “All of Zeon will laugh at us.” Char: “What an idiot... he has no idea how to use such force.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 6: Combatant: Puru Two Mobile Suit: N/A Strategy: Well if I am not mistaken this is the only female Gundam Pilot I’ve seen on the game? That’s kind off odd that’s there’s only one. Anyway, not a very difficult fight as Char will tell you in his afterward statement. Use a stun off the bat to get in a mega or two, then just use fist moves and your rifle to wear her down until you can use the last mega. Use your speed to move around if you think you need two, I just kept her hung up in the corner and used combos, it will be over pretty quick. AFTER: Char: “Just a fool.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 7: Combatant: Gato Mobile Suit: Neue Ziel Strategy: This is actually a pretty interesting fight, and should wake you up after Miss Puru about puts you to sleep before the big show down with Amuro. Use pretty much the same strategy you did against the other decent fights, I know they were pretty sparse, but oh well. If some of you are disappointed in how I covered this sequence, I’m sorry but its 2AM and I cannot stand Ball or Acguy, so I decided to make fun of them a bit to stay awake. AFTER: Char: “Where did you develop from?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 8: Combatant: Amuro Mobile Suit: RX-78 Strategy: Finally! The final fight! Between Char Aznable! And!... Amuro? Well not exactly the big surprise matchup I was looking for, but I guess it will do. As you know if you played the Burning Gundam sequence, Char is the boss and he and Amuro kind of see eye to eye at the end, but being on overly violent game they’re still allowed to fight, don’t worry. Ok, this is not a very tough fight for a boss I’ afraid, even if your on hard. And the reason for that being is your in Zeong, not Zaku IIS. Zeong may look like the maid from the Jetsons, but let me tell you something, if you can pull off all 3 megas without them getting blocked or cut off, the fight is basically over. BEFORE: Amuro: “Char I had a feeling you would be coming!” Char: “So I guess you are a Newtype, but are you good enough to take on my new mobile suit?” AFTER: Amuro: “Stand up Gundam, Stand!” Char: “Your Newtype pride is your weakness.” Char: “Lalah, please show me how.” MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “School of Tuhou Fuhai” – Piloted by Master Asia ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******************************************************************************* Battle # 1: Combatant: George Mobile Suit: Rose Strategy: Hopefully you’re playing on hard, if not you best switch, since to unlock certain suits you must complete all 8 on hard. Anyway, with the CPU on hard, this is not that tough a fight anyway. Don’t let him get you backed into a corner, or he’ll use that stupid little fencing sword he carries around and combo you to pieces. Use the flying kicks and your canons to keep him away from you and then try to use your stun to set up the combo. AFTER: George: “I am no match for you!” Master Asia: “You need some serious training!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 2: Combatant: Sai Mobile Suit: Dragon Strategy: As long as you keep the Dragon from getting you into very close quarters (much like the Rose) you should be fine. Watch the array of kicks, and make sure to use your kicks to keep him out of the air. His mega is pretty slow to get to you, so you should have plenty of time to block. Use the dashing kick, kick him while he’s on the ground, and time the mega so it hits him as he rises. He does some good aerial stuff, so be careful when he’s up there, don’t assume anything. AFTER: Sai: “Can I have another chance, master?” Master Asia: “What? You wish to try your hand against me again?” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 3: Combatant: Puru Two Mobile Suit: Quin Mantha Strategy: Well Asia isn’t lying when he says that was not even a light workout, she just doesn’t really seem to do anything until its way to late. Playing on hard, I got her down to about ¼ left of her third meter, and then she finally seems to wake up, but it was obviously far to late. Just use your megas after a stun, and don’t really worry about her back you up, it shouldn’t happen. A lot of her attacks are based on hand-to-hand or like physical contact, so go to the air when you can, she seems to be out of place there. AFTER: Master Asia: “That wasn’t even a light workout!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 4: Combatant: Argo Mobile Suit: Bolt Gundam Strategy: A shame is right; Argo like Mantha never seems to put up a fight until his cause is way out of reach. Hit him right off the break with a special, and then go to the air to stay behind him. He is another one that almost never goes to the air unprovoked, so you can lure him and use your kicks. Like Mantha again most of his stuff is based on him hitting you with a shoulder or something, so staying behind him, or dodging seems to be the thing to do. AFTER: Argo: “What a shame! heh heh!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 5: Combatant: Dozul Mobile Suit: Big-Zam Strategy: Well, if you are playing on hard, your quote after you’ve won the fight is probably the biggest over statement of the game. This is not a very easy fight. Asia can’t stay up in the air very long, and you’d think his kicks would do a lot more damage than they actually do. Try to stay up around his head as long as you can, and use the running kicks, they should do decent damage. Use your megas all right at the beginning, might as well get them out of the way. And for the love of god watch his legs, try to stay behind him. AFTER: Master Asia: “Whats wrong? I’m still waiting for you to start.” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 6: Combatant: Chibodee Mobile Suit: Gundam Maxter Strategy: If your like me, you probably assumed the further you got into the game the harder the suits would become, especially on hard, but then having Maxter as your sixth fight right after Zam disproves that whole theory. Stun him off the break and then use your mega. Use the 2nd as you feel fit, then save the third to finish him, because if you run out of ammo, you don’t want to prolong the fight. His mega, the machine gun punch, is pretty weak, but avoid getting close to him none the less. Use your darting kicks to go in quick and get out. AFTER: Chibodee: “Great work!” Master Asia: “You bear the crest of the Shuffle Alliance and lose? Pathetic!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 7: Combatant: Domon Kesshin Mobile Suit: Burning Gundam Strategy: Wow, Master Asia isn’t being very nice to his student now is he. Anyway, Burning Gundam is certainly a capable suit, but doesn’t stand up to snuff in this fight. Just avoid his mega, which he tried twice against me (one in desperation) and you should be ok. Strike in and out with the kicks, they’re good to lure him close for the stun followed by none other than the mega. I’m not a big fan of Master Gundam, and will say this, if the CPU wasn’t half-assed compared to the last game, you would lose this fight. BEFORE: Domon: “Master, why are you getting in my way? Tell me!” Master Asia: “Things are not as easy as you think. I will teach you a lesson!” AFTER: Domon: “Why? Why can’t I ever win?” Master Asia: “You idiot. I couldn’t lose to someone who is so shortsighted!” ******************************************************************************* Battle # 8: Combatant: Kyoji Kesshin Mobile Suit: Dark Gundam Strategy: This is possibly the most frustrating fight on the game, other than the first time you meet up with Big-Zam. There’s not a whole lot you can do against the worm looking things he throws up out of the ground, personally I can dodge them, but you might not be able. Don’t get in close, a couple of his better moves involve close quarters. BE VERY CHOOSY WITH YOUR MEGAS! He blocks friggin everything and theres no point in just busting them off for nothing. Save them for when you know you can hit him. I would say go to the air, but that doesn’t really work that well either. Just slug it out with him. BEFORE: Kyoji: “ ha ha ha ha ha!” Master Asia: “So, you’ve been completely taken over by the DG Cells? Don’t worry. I will set you free!” AFTER: Kyoji: “AAAAHHH!” Master Asia: “Rest in peace! It was just to powerful for a human to possess!” Master Asia: “East, west, south, noth – unbeaten in every path! I am Master Asia!” ******************************************************************************* MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Big Dreams” – Piloted by Chibodee ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******************************************************************************* Battle # 1: Combatant: Sai Mobile Suit: Dragon Gundam Strategy: Wow, assuming your playing on HARD, this is going to be a struggle with almost every suit you come up against, and a couple it will be an all out fight for survival. Personally, I will admit that I suck with Maxter, I find him weak in the mega department, and he doesn’t have anything that effective (Like say ZAKUIIS or Heavy Arms). Anyway, stay away from Sai except when doing your mega, he will pin you and you won’t have anything to get away from him with. ******************************************************************************* Battle # 2: Combatant: Argo Mobile Suit: Bolt Gundam Strategy: This fight is a little bit easier than Sai, because Argo doesn’t seem to be as aggressive, and its easier to keep away from him. Use your mega’s wisely, he will surge back at the end, especially if you get stuck under his shoulder on the side. Watch for his combo, he doesn’t pull it much against me, so I was surprised when he did, so watch yourself! ******************************************************************************* Battle # 3: Combatant: Amuro Ray Mobile Suit: V Gundam Strategy: Amuro who? Oh right that guy whose kicking your ass. Or atleast that’s the case with me. I don’t know who decided that Maxter needed a story sequence, but this is ridiculous. Ok, he blocks a lot, and he can make up a lot of damage quick, so you need to remember to dodge and block, not just take hits. Saddly you have to get in close to do the mega, and a lot of the time he can block it or just totally avert it with his guns. This fight should be interesting. ******************************************************************************* Battle # 4: Combatant: George Mobile Suit: Rose Gundam Strategy: Argh! Are they making you go to close quarters on purpose? For the love of god don’t get stuck in the corner while Rose pounds on you with that stupid sword. Remember to block his mega, it actually does fairly decent damage, and you don’t have any free HP to be giving away. Try to stun him off the bat and use a mega, get ahead of him and try to play cat and mouse to stay there. Save one mega for the end in case he gets ahead and time is about up. ******************************************************************************* Battle # 5: Combatant: Dozul Mobile Suit: Big-Zam Strategy: This is the hardest match-up in the entire game. Zam is a suit you avoid, and Maxter is a suit you have to get up close to use, so what do you do? Simple, stay behind him! No I’m not joking, if you get caught under his legs the fights over anyway. So right off the break thrust over his head and use two of your megas. Now he will start to back up, so thrust to the other side. Block the lasers if he uses them, and dodge and then block the missiles, you can’t afford losing half a meter. WATCH OUT FOR HIS BACK KICK! And good luck! ******************************************************************************* Battle # 6: Combatant: Master Asia Mobile Suit: Master Gundam Strategy: After Big-Zam, anything seem somewhat easier with this suit, so for once, don’t try to stay away, go head on with the old man. Try to use kick/punch combos and keep him stuck up against a side, and mega him on the overheats. This is not that hard to do, especially if you avoid the kicks that make up most of his arsenal. However, do be careful of his mega, which he seems to use quite often. If your having trouble with this fight, all I can say is that you must not be blocking and dodging. ******************************************************************************* Battle # 7: Combatant: Domon Mobile Suit: Burning Gundam Strategy: Ok, now that the adrenaline allowing you to go after Asia is gone, go back to the normal reclusive fighting style that has gotten you this far. The reason for the revert being, that Burning Gundam is head over heels capable of more quick inside damage than Master Gundam. You will however, want to use a mega right off the start of the fight, and then get behind him. He is very good in the air, so try not to get caught up there though. Use kicks and little things to knock him down, and hope he doesn’t block your megas. ******************************************************************************* Battle # 8: Combatant: Kyoji Mobile Suit: Dark Gundam Strategy: Finally! What Kyoji again? Well, it is imperative, that you block and dodge in this fight, or you will be dead before it started. Those stupid worm things he shoots at you, I know its hard because they come up so quick, especially when you close to him, BUT YOU HAVE TO DODGE THEM! Don’t let him get right on top of you, or he does that stupid hammer fist thing, which shouldn’t but takes like half a meter. Now, I would say get behind him for your megas, but he blocks EVERYTHING. And that is no lie, so just try them and hope. ******************************************************************************* MISSION ACCOMPLISHED ____ ___ ___ / __ )/ | |__ \=========================================================== / __ / /| | __/ / CHAPTER 3: / /_/ / ___ |/ __/ The Mobile Suits /_____/_/ |_/____/============================================================ NOTE: In a button sequence * means any two attack buttons at the same time. /_/ / ___ |/ __/ VS. Mode Strategies /_____/_/ |_/____/============================================================ * When you are playing against other people, try to pick up on the pattern of moves they seem to use most often, and when they try to use them. Eventually you will also know which moves they know, and that opens up for what moves he won’t be able to counter with another since he doesn’t know them. * Don’t screw around and waste your mega special attacks. Save them for when you know your going to hit him, and try to lure him into using his when you can block it. If it comes down to a close fight, you will be glad you had the mega’s and he will be sorry he didn’t. * Against opponents who seem to do fast damage and you can’t even get a hit in, try to rush them whenever you can and keep them off their feet. This should break up their rhythm and allow you to get some knocks in. * If your having trouble with a particular mobile suit, and have tried and tried and just can’t get the hang of it, just drop it and try to find one you like. Knowing everything about the suit you’re in and how to effectively fight with it are the keys to winning a match. * Use your dodges and thrusters for god’s sake! A lot of people just take hits and think they can still win by over powering their enemy, a lot of times that is not the case. Whenever possible, dodge or block an attack. You want to have all the HP possible, even if you don’t think you need it. * When your using a suit that depends a lot of firing moves that use up ammunition (aren’t skill moves) make sure you conserve it! All you need is for a fight to be going well playing based on that style and then run out of ammo and have to totally free style and hope to finish strong. * Due to popular demand for the Gundam Wing characters, I have decided to add the strategy for the 2 most demanded, Wing Zero and Heavy Arms, so here you people go, stop emailing me. ================================================== HEAVY ARMS CUSTOM CPU (HARD) STRATEGY ================================================== *************************************** VS. Ball *************************************** Ball Gundam depends a lot on him being close to you, so it can use actual physical contact hits (like shoulder ramming you etc...) so when he gets close like that (which you shouldn’t let him in the first place, thrust out of there and don’t take the unnecessary shots. Use one of your megas right off the break, you should be able to get it off just as you start so he doesn’t block it. Follow up with the Missile to Gatlin Combo (which will be referred to a lot within this section). Try to get behind him when you can, the Gatlins alone will do big damage in the back. The Spark Missiles are good when you need something quick to keep him from rushing you. *************************************** VS. Hydra-Gundam *************************************** Hydra-Gundam is one of the suits that I like to curse at when I’ve got it down to where I only have to hit it one more time and then it goes on some crazy untouchable rampage and I almost lose. You need to be careful when it gets you close against the side, that’s not a good place to be. You want to get this fight over super quick, so start out with the missiles, and then use the Gatlin to bring it up to about a 38 hit combo. Use the Gatlin to open him up for your Full Force Mega Attack. His Mega is not very hard to avoid, so just make sure your paying attention when he gets to the point where he’d use it. *************************************** VS. Gundam Altron *************************************** Probably the worst of the Gundam Wing series suits, he is the third one in a row that depends a lot on being close. You can totally avoid his mega if your paying attention, simply thrusting back out of its range and your in the clear. Hit him hard with the missiles, since he blocks the gatlins most of the time. When you hit him with the missiles, make sure to use the gatlins as the combo follow up. Its important to get up on him right off the break, so you can be in control of the match and spread out use of your Megas. Use the spark missiles to keep him from using his aerial stuff. This fight should be over pretty quick, so you might as well max out the ammo and stuff. *************************************** VS. Wing Zero Custom *************************************** Uh oh, time to go head to head with one of the few pilots who might be Trowa’s equal (Heero, Zechs, Char, Duo). Saddly, this fight is actually simple, as Wing Zero is no match for Heavy Arms in the game. Use your missiles right off the break, if this hits it will do like half a meter damage alone, use the Missile to Gatlin combo and your good for almost a meter. Follow that up with a Mega and then the spark missiles to thwart his rising bird tackle, and hes already in dark orange. Try to follow up with your third mega, which could possibly end the fight if its not blocked. Once you get him down into his second meter, he should start to block a little more, so just keep at the combos. *************************************** VS. Gundam Sandrock *************************************** Quatre if you can’t roll with the big dogs, you best stay up on the porch. If nice guy doesn’t always come out on top, as you will soon find kick Quatre’s ass if quite simple. He doesn’t block very much, so start right out with the Mega. I hope everyone realizes that when I say that, time it so it goes off right as the match starts, don’t wait to get into and give him time. Follow with the M to G Combo, and then when he tries to pull his megas out just dodge, it sucks anyway. Now, if he gets you stuck up against the wall, he can do some damage with his Sai’s, so be careful, and happy Sandrock beating. *************************************** VS. Dragon Gundam *************************************** Dragon Gundam is actually a little better than most people think it will be, and I know its difficult to imagine someone who looks like Sai beating you up, but bare with me here. Ok, he’s quick, and when he gets in close he does that stupid kick combos. Use your Gatlins to hold him back (even if they don’t get through, he wont advance toward you). When he tries to go to the air, which is quite often, use the spark missiles when you can, other wise, try to knock him down with the skill move canons (triangle). Use your mega’s when he tries to go to the air but isn’t to close, and the sparks that go out with it should knock him back down into the canon fire. If all else fails, the tried and true missile to Gatlin combo will always get the job done. *************************************** VS. Rose Gundam *************************************** No, that’s not a 19th century Spanish bull fighter, that’s Rose Gundam! And for the love of god don’t email me asking how that stupid little fencing saber does damage to you, I have no idea. Anyway, I know this is getting very old, but keep him away from you! You don’t have any crazy kicks or punches to save your butt once he gets you up close, and if you can’t get guns or missiles off, your screwed. Start off with the Mega, followed by canons while hes on the ground, then use the Missile/Gatlin combo when he gets up again (keep trying until one gets through, this does to good an amount of damage not to utilize until you run out of ammo.) Rose should fall like a flower in the heat under your firepower, good luck too you. *************************************** VS. Bolt Gundam *************************************** Bolt Gundam, might as well be a piece of crap sitting there, because it sucks. And I really don’t feel like wasting time filling in a strategy for him, but I guess I will anyway. (God help you if you actually need it!). Ok start off with a Mega, followed by... a mega, and then use your last mega. Now switch over to the Gatlin guns, and use them until your ammo is all gone. If he’s not dead by now, use your missiles, and if this doesn’t stop the raging beast that is Bolt Gundam, get out a noose, you know what you have to do. *************************************** VS. Gundam Epyon *************************************** Gundam Epyon like to pull the classic CPU maneuver known as “I’m actually beating the CPU, so now I have to watch it unfairly kick the crap out of me for about 8 seconds.” You’ve all seen it, and the only thing I can tell you is to get away from the side, and try to get up into the air. Once you get it down to dark orange, it kind of goes insane on you, which is VERY evident in street mode on HARD. Use the gatlins to keep it away from you, as it does a lot of damage up close. Watch out for the whip! *************************************** VS. Big-Zam *************************************** “Hey I’m a giant green suit, let me step on you and take a whole health meter away!” Well, your lucky you’re flying Heavy Arms, and can use your massive firepower to keep him off you most of the time. Use your specials and missiles right off the bat. Spark Missiles are ok, but if he uses his missiles, they’re not going to have any affect. When he gets to close, thrust and get behind him, under his feet is the worth possible place for you to be. His missiles and special do ridiculously to much damage, so you HAVE TO BLOCK them, or the fight is basically over. *************************************** VS. Hygogg *************************************** Can someone shed some light on how Hygogg fights in its respective TV series? To me it just seems like a submarine with twirl hands? Um, doesn’t really pose a real threat unless you get really close to him, and don’t block his hand attacks. Use missiles to pound him (they do awesome damage) and then the big gatlins should do the rest. Throw in your mega’s for good measure. This fight, even on hard is kind of a joke, so have some fun. Now if by chance you lose this fight, pull your pants down and walk around your block. *************************************** VS. Neue Ziel *************************************** A toned down version of Big-Zam in a way, he does his unfair damage with his hands. Then he shoots them at you, you HAVE to lock or your gonna lose like half a meter and that’s not good. Use your mega’s right off the start, then get ready to thrust back away from his hands or dodge. He has those stupid lasers so its hard to get behind him, but your going to have to if you can’t hold him back. Use gatlins and missiles, and the combo to keep him from getting right on top of you. If you have to go to the air, use the spark missiles to stop him first. Bad idea, sliding under him and using that Gatlin move, usually gets you hit more than it was worth. *************************************** VS. Tallgeese III *************************************** Tallgeese is a lot like Wing Zero, you need to be careful that you don’t let him get in to close. Recently I was asked in an email why I always say not to let them get in close, so we’ll explain it here. First of all, none of your moves require that you be right up close, so why take the chance? Next, if you get stuck up against the side, and can’t get a move off because you keep getting hit, your screwed. Last, a lot of the suits more powerful moves involve beam sabers etc... which need to be relatively close to hit you. Tallgeese, is one of these suits, so, next time you fight, your going to pound him with your firepower, then your going to stay away from him, and knock him out of the air with spark missiles. *************************************** VS. ZAKU II *************************************** At the end of this fight, ZAKU should look like a rag doll. Right off the break hit him with the Gatlin to Missile combo, then follow up with one of your mega attacks, this should do substantial damage, and you probably shouldn’t have even been touched yet. Might as well use up your gatlins, then switch over to the missiles and one of your megas. Save the last mega to end the fight. ZAKU is better with the thrusters than you, but you have moves to counter everything he does in the air, so don’t sweat it. He’s going to try to come in and out and just chip away at you, hoping to get you to use up your ammunition. You know what hes trying, so don’t let him do it. *************************************** VS. ZAKU IIS *************************************** ZAKU IIS might not be the fire power shooting beast you are, but its much quicker than ZAKU II, and you need to watch out for its mega attack. With the thrusters being so quick, its not that hard for it to come in fast and get off its mega before you can do anything, so A, try to keep him away from you, B, make sure you block it if he does it, don’t just assume you can take the damage. This is a dangerous enemy in the sense that you should beat it without major trouble, but if you f*** something major up, it could cost you the match. Now you don’t see this with a suit like Hygogg or something, because I could probably beat up Hygogg. *************************************** VS. Burning Gundam *************************************** *Cough*crappy Wing Zero wannabe*cough*...what? Well, I’m not to high on my opinion of Burning Gundam, but as not to offend any of your Burning Pilots, I will say his mega looks pretty sweet. The key to beating him is just that, don’t let him land the mega, and then just plow away. That’s really his only means of MAJOR damage (don’t throw your “I did a 90 hit combo with him” crap into my email because no you didn’t). His guns are slow, so if you see him going for them, use your skill gatlins, which are quick enough to cut him off, and open up a gateway to better stuff, such as, Gatlin-Missile combo, and maybe a Full Force Mega! Sound like fun kids? I thought so. *************************************** VS. Gundam Maxter *************************************** I hate Maxter. Chibodee needs a new outfit, it’s move are weak, its mega is terrible, the only real joy this suits brings is when it shows up in the enemy slot. If maxter can’t get in right near you, he cannot win the fight. His mega blows to begin with, but by cutting off his pistols (use skill gatlins) you have basically cut off all modes of easy damage. Use your gatlins to just pound the bejeezus out of him. Once your ammo is gone, you’ve still got your missiles, also known as guided explosive projectiles, and then you’ve got your Full Forces. If you lose this fight, pull your pants down, run into a convenience store, yell that you’re a small helpless school girl and then run out. *************************************** VS. Dark Gundam *************************************** Why this suit is so hard to beat I really have no idea, it doesn’t look good but it is. This fight is going to be a slug fest, and the only way your going to win is by really sticking it to him, and just not letting up. Those stupid wormy looking things he shoots out of the ground are hard to catch, but YOU NEED TO MOVE or they will do ridiculous damage. Keep the missiles on him constantly, and try to save the Gatlins for the missile/gatlin combo, because he blocks almost everything so try not to waste them. He doesn’t go to the air, but he can put up a little force field thing around himself, so don’t get near him when that’s up. Your mega attacks are going to play a huge part in this fight, so make sure that you don’t waste them. Don’t just pull them hoping he won’t block, he will. *************************************** VS. Master Gundam *************************************** The circle is now complete, the master has now become the student. You should just totally kick the crap out of Master Asia. Use the gatlins off the start, he doesn’t seem to block a lot. Watch out for his hovering kicks and try to kick him from landing higher kicks. Use the missile/gatlin combo, and follow it with finishers and there should be no problems. Use the skill gatlins if you run out of ammo, but it shouldn’t last that long. Make sure you block his mega, and don’t really worry about him in the air, he doesn’t go that much, and he’s not much better than you up there anyway. *************************************** VS. Deathscythe Hell Custom *************************************** Bwahahahahahaha! Duo Maxwell you are no match for the massive onslaught that us Heavy Arms Custom. Other than teleport and block, DSH really has no way to avoid your attacks, since he’s not the most air going suit on the game. Pound him with your missiles before he can get in close and use his scythe, his mega is so weak don’t worry about it. Now if you were playing a human pilot, take this fight seriously, since they can expose weaknesses and pick you apart, but the computer is not that elaborate in its plan, so just pound it to death. Use your megas right after he teleports, and most of the time you can catch him right in the middle of it when he comes back, that also works with the longer gatlin attack sometimes. *************************************** VS. Acguy *************************************** *Looks at Acguy, looks at Heavy Arms, busts out laughing*... I didn’t know they let Droids from Star Wars Episode 1 onto the Gundam circuit. The problem with Acguy is, all he really has is his mega, and since you can just jump over it when he tries to roll into you, he’s not exactly a damage doing machine. Tear the front of his armor off with the gatlins and the missile/gatlin combo, then use your megas to just decimate him. He has a couple gun things, and he’s a little on the nimble side, so he might get a couple love taps in, but theres no way you should even be out of the green meter at the end of this fight. Its kind of fun just trying to see how much damage you can do to his appearance. *************************************** VS. ZZ Gundam *************************************** Hmm... can we say pain the butt that blocks way to much boys and girls? ZZ Gundam only stays alive because of his ability to block and absorb hits without losing much, since his offensive arsenal is not all to impressive. Just pound him with missiles, and then follow with the gatlin. Should add up to 35 or so hits on the combo meter. Now chances are he’ll block atleast one of your mega attacks, so don’t worry about it if the first one doesn’t get landed. Dodge or thrust back away from his attacks, and watch his mega, its about all he does that can do some damage. This is not a difficult fight, it just takes a little longer because of his armor capabilities. *************************************** VS. V Gundam *************************************** Wow geez it’s been a while since I updated this guide, now that school started I really need to tie it up. So here we go. V Gundam is considered by most a more “advanced suit.” They just don’t appreciate the power of Heavy Arms. When the match starts, immediately ensure with the missile/gatlin combo, he blocks a lot so it might take a couple attempts. Once that’s off time the mega to coincide and keep the combo alive, and try to not break up combos like that, damage is a little less easy to come by in this fight (on hard). Watch out for those stupid things that clip out at you, they don’t look like it, but they can do some damage. Just don’t come in to close, but still be aggressive. *************************************** VS. Quin Mantha *************************************** This suit is another one like V Gundam, its more advanced in the hands of a human pilot, but the CPU just doesn’t fly it well enough to even present a semi-challenging fight, which is disappointing. Use pretty much the same strategy as with V Gundam, although you HAVE to block this mega, if you dodge you’ll just come back into it, and you can’t thrust long or quick enough to totally evade it, and it can be quite powerful. Quin Mantha isn’t really that aggressive (might just be me) but you can venture in a little closure and use the backflip kick if you want, try out some different combos, the CPU never seemed to block anything. Although keep in mind, the closer you get, the more harm your putting yourself at if she does something. *************************************** VS. RX-78 *************************************** Quite the underrated suit actually, when in the hands of an able human pilot this thing can be a pretty tough little fight, sadly the CPU fails to capture its ability. Mega isn’t really a problem, he doesn’t pull it much, although for the love of god block, who knew that stupid little ball would do so much damage. The main thing is to keep him away from you, use just the skill gatlins if you have too, but DO NOT let him get you jacked up against a corner, then you’re in danger of overheating and getting comboed up. Use the leg missiles religiously, and stick to the shorter gatlin shot (the longer ones just waste them most of the time). All in all, RX-78 is just another brick in the wall, so finish him off. *************************************** VS. Psycho Gundam *************************************** I can’t quite figure this suit out. On the message board for this game, it is worshipped like some almighty suit, and even when my friend controls it (he’s just about as good as I am) he poses no real threat to Heavy Arms. Watch out for combo streaks and do keep your distance as usual. Moderate amount of blocking going on, so you should be able to get some of your leg missiles by, which should allow you to take down a whole meter (use the combos). This fight should not last long, use your megas cautiously though, maybe I’m just missing something everyone else knows about, and the suit really is that good? ================================================== WING ZERO CUSTOM CPU (HARD) STRATEGY ================================================== *************************************** VS. Ball *************************************** Nothing special about the Ball Gundam fight, when your playing against humans it’s a little tougher, but you shouldn’t have a problem using the air to your total advantage. The bird tackle and rising bird tackle are going to be a big plus when he gets in to close for you to have time to use the beam saber, which you do need to get used to timing up with approaches. The machine canons are really weak against almost anyone, and probably more so against ball, he’s pretty beefy, so I would only use those to hold him back. *************************************** VS. Hydra-Gundam *************************************** Hydra-Gundam? We don’t need no stinkin’ Hydra-Gundam! This fight has the attributes of a classis fighting game. You start of great, get way ahead on the meters, then all of a sudden he starts pulling crazy crap you probably couldn’t do yourself and it’s down to the wire. It is imperative that you land your mega attacks in this fight, they make up a huge portion of the big damages streaks you will go on, since he’s always shooting some kind of projectile, its tough to get your beam saber in for an actual hit. The beam rifles are ok, repetitively, but damage is not going to gained much from them. *************************************** VS. Gundam Altron *************************************** As much as Wufei likes to pretend he’s your equal, it’s just not happening, especially while he’s just playing Altron. His major damage is going to come from his mega attack, and the combos that he usually starts off with his dragon claw thing, so as long as you block or dodge that, there really shouldn’t be any huge string combos landed on his part. You however, want this fight over with quick, so right off the start it might not be a bad idea to pull one of your mega attacks, most of the time you should be able to land it. Rising bird tackle should also come in handy when you’re trying to keep air supremacy. Keep an eye on the meters as well, especially if you have megas left, not worth wasting time if you could just end it. *************************************** VS. Gundam Sandrock *************************************** Quatre Robaba Winner you get in this house right now! Yea, I guess he’s not so tough without his little body guard/lackeys always rushing in to fight his battles for him. All you really need to watch out for are his sai’s, and that’s mainly just his mega attack. He’s not altogether fast, and he telegraphs when his special’s coming big time, so don’t really worry about not catching it. I’d say if 2 of your 3 mega attacks land, this fight should be almost flawless. Make sure whenever you overheat him, and can use your mega attack, to do it, waiting until he gets up only increases the chances of missing. *************************************** VS. Dragon Gundam *************************************** The further I watch into the G Gundam series, the more and more I don’t like Sai. Dragon Gundam is not quite the super suit it’s made out to be, and if it was, you’d hear about more top notch players using it. The Dragon is pretty similar to Altron, and has a much more “martial arts” style to its movement. Watch out for quick jabs that can feint and lead into larger attacks. His mega attack looks like a friggin’ rainbow, and it’s totally easy to block, so you shouldn’t have a problem with that. His combo’s can do decent damage, but he’s not really strong enough to dominate you into a corner to perform them. *************************************** VS. Rose Gundam *************************************** George didn’t eat his wheaties today, and apparently neither did Rose, because on the wuss-o-meter Rose is up there. Doesn’t seem to take damage well, unlike some suits that just seem to absorb the blows and has no effect on them. Watch out for the fencing combo, and his mega, which on certain occasions can be difficult to predict and could therefore need a list minute block, so keep an eye out for that. He’s not to hot in the air, so definitely take advantage and try to lure him, then either use your mega once he’s up there, or come back and use the rising bird tackle. This should not be a problem presenting battle. *************************************** VS. Bolt Gundam *************************************** Argo needs to take his sorry butt right back to neo-Russia where he came from, because Bolt Gundam hasn’t got a thing on Wing Zero. Almost all of Bolts stuff requires that he come in pretty close to you, and he not being quite the acrobat that you are, you should easily be able to fly circles around him. Use the dodge as much as you can, since its more fluid than blocking, and sometimes quicker. He seems to block a lot, so try to use your mega attack when he’s on the ground, and not just randomly like you can do in some other fights. Only thing to really watch out for would have to be the close quarters combos when he gets you pinned against a side. *************************************** VS. Gundam Epyon *************************************** Nothing really new from when you fought him in street mode (assuming you played him on hard, and are still doing so now!). You really need to just watch out for the little streaks he goes on, where he can make up mass damage in a very, very short period of time. Most people just try to absorb the hits and recover, don’t be dumb, dodge and block. That may sound dumb, but you’d be surprised how many people are just too lazy to help themselves. His mega attack does pretty good damage, but there is really no reason for you to get hit, unless he catches you overheated, which doesn’t get the full effect of the move anyway, so good deal. *************************************** VS. Big-Zam *************************************** Talk about the old school yard bully, Zam isn’t that tough with Wing Zero, and if he ever shrunk a little bit, everybody would be out to kick his ass. The key to this fight, with any suit, is to watch out for his legs. They will do more damage than any of his other moves in the fight. You think your blocking them, your not. You really need to dodge the bombs he shoots at you, you really can’t afford to get hit with those, especially if you’ve already taken leg damage or wasted a mega attack etc... Just keep switching sides on him, and there shouldn’t be a problem of getting hit by his mega attack. *************************************** VS. Hygogg *************************************** You’ve got to be joking, there is no way this suit could ever be a match for Wing Zero, and yes I know the cross series comparisons aren’t really fair, since the pilots aren’t nearly the same caliber. Anyway, hit Hygogg where it hurts with the machine canons, and then make sure to use the beam saber as much as possible (one of the few fights where you can risk being exposed that slowly). Now, use your mega attacks when he’s overheated, you don’t want to take the chance on the little bugger blocking when it looks so cool to see the front of his suit torn off. Good luck and happy beatings. *************************************** VS. Neue Ziel *************************************** This fight is a little different when your not in a piece of junk like Maxter, so its time to show this big punk whose boss. Just avoid the stretchy thing he does with his hands, and you shouldn’t get hit with anything that does to much damage. Use your mega attacks as you see fit, but don’t just waste them because he doesn’t block as often, this fight might end up being closer than it looks in the beginning if your playing on hard. The beam saber is probably not a good idea, because your need to be on guard for the dodge when he uses his hands, and its slow you probably won’t be able to recover in time, and overheating and giving him a chance is the last thing you want to do. *************************************** VS. Tallgeese III *************************************** This is a slobber-knocker, two big time Gundam Wing heavy weights duking it out like they should have let them on the show. (Yes they did fight, but never to do the death, and no the end doesn’t count, because Zechs is pretty much insane). Anyway, most of his basic moves (canon etc...) are slower than yours, so you either block and dash in on him, or simply pull yours faster, canceling his out, and using them in pairs so one hits him. He will block your mega attacks unless you use them in good timing, which is either when he’s overheated, or you’ve got him caught where he can’t recover in time to block. Watch his chain combo’s, when the lightning count gets going he can really cap some moves off. This should be a very good fight on hard. *************************************** VS. ZAKU II *************************************** Not quite its sequel the IIs, and the speed this suit doesn’t have is going to be it’s downfall. It’s mega attack isn’t overwhelming, and you can see it coming a mile away, but definitely block, because you don’t want to get hit re-entering if you try to dodge, since they kind of hang in the air. It is quicker than you, so don’t waste your mega attacks, but you should be able to over heat it pretty quickly, and it’s all down hill from there. The suit doesn’t do much in the line of heavy duty combo’s, more of a hit and run, use it’s agility kind of thing, but since your not on the slow side either, its not going to fly. Beat ‘em up and move on, but DO NOT let this cloud your judgment of the IIs. *************************************** VS. ZAKU IIS *************************************** This suit is the Zaku II plus some improvements, which is why I said to make sure you don’t just think your fighting the first one again. This suit still has the agility, maybe better speed capabilities even, and it takes the damage a little better, plus it’s a little stronger. I’m not saying it should beat you, none of them really should, but this is a much tougher fight than the first one. Use a special right off the break, 50% chance it will hit (I know I said not to before, but I take a different strategy for the IIs) and if it hits you’ve got a lead you shouldn’t lose the whole fight, if it misses dash in and catch him with his pants down. Watch out for his special as mentioned in the other one, it kind of has some hang time, so block, not dodge, or back step if you have room. *************************************** VS. Burning Gundam *************************************** Probably your counter-part if you want to compare them (from the Wing Gundam series) but the suit itself still isn’t even close to Wing Zero Custom, and if this had been made closer to the shows standards, you would have a super advantage. Anyway, he actually fights a lot like you, except I don’t think he is as much an air going suit. Try a mega attack right off the break, then follow with dashing in and you might as well try for the beam saber. There’s a good chance you can stun him with the mega and actually land the combo. Use the stun move a lot, it’s a good way to get in close without have to overheat or use a mega to knock him down. This shouldn’t be much of a challenge. *************************************** VS. Gundam Maxter *************************************** Maxter, I laugh at you, Chibodee, you are a wuss. That’s about the whole of my thoughts on this suit and its pilot. If you lose this fight, go run around your block in a dress. Everything he does has to be in close, and since your faster, stronger, and way better, its just not going to happen. His mega is weak even if you LET him land it. Hit him with the mega right off the bat, and then dash in like in the Burning fight, this should give you a pretty big lead if you can hit the combo, might as well try to keep it going for the bonus with canons, worth a shot. This fight is a joke, have fun, this is a very good chance to see how high a combo you can do, since you have a willing subject to experiment on. *************************************** VS. Dark Gundam *************************************** Wow this fight is more annoying than anything. This is the only Gundam I know of that has freaking worm things that shoot out of the ground at you, that’ll do it every time. You need to get this fight over as soon as possible, because the longer you play, the more time he has to pull some CPU BS and that’s never fun. He blocks almost everything, so your going to have to be pretty repetitive. Hit the mega’s on overheats, or if your getting desperate move in close for the stun, although if you don’t hit it your in trouble, because that’s not a good place to be. This suit just doesn’t seem like it should be so strong, although I will admit some of the things it does are kind of not fair. Shoot, slice, pray. *************************************** VS. Master Gundam *************************************** The circle is now complete, when Wing Gundam aired I was but the learner, but now I am the master, and you time is through Master Asia. I really don’t like this suit, and I really don’t see what all the fuss is about, none of the Wing Gundam suits are anything to jump off a roof about. Play him pretty much the same as you fight Burning Gundam, except watch for the stupid shielding thing he does with his cape and you should not have a problem with this fight. On another note, why is he so dumb in the show? And second, why exactly is HE powerful enough to take Dark Gundam away, its to much for his old ass as well... *************************************** VS. Deathscythe Hell Custom *************************************** Hmmm... I don’t really know what to make out of the Deathscythe in this game, we know Duo is a more than capable pilot, why they made him so weak in proportion to Wing Zero I guess the world will never know. Dash right in on him and use your saber, then back step and try pulling a mega attack. Most of his attacks require him to be pretty close to you, atleast for him to do anything decent. For the rest of the match might as well just stay away from him, use your mega attacks on the overheats and watch for desperation mega attacks, his isn’t very strong solo, but if he can pull it into a decent sized combo he might surprise you a little bit. *************************************** VS. Acguy *************************************** Acguy, Acguy, Acguy can’t you see, sometimes how bad you are hypnotizes me. If those lyrics don’t sum it all up for you, perhaps the ungodly beating you give Acguy will, and with almost no effort mind you! He is slow, you can avoid his spinning claw things almost without effort, and other than that he has nothing. His mega attack is way easy to see coming, a quick block or dodge and you’re on your way to a very close to if not flawless victory. One positive note, this is a very good opportunity to see how high you can get your max combo number up to. *************************************** VS. ZZ Gundam *************************************** Wow why don’t we just take a giant piece of indestructible metal, shape it into a Gundam, and let it run around and never, ever take any damage. Well, the plus of it is he’s so slow you might as well be fighting with a garbage truck. Hit him right off the break with a mega attack, dash in, use the beam saber, and then use the canons as your dashing back out. Head’s up for his stupid mega attack, its pretty annoying, so you need to make sure you block it. Also, don’t let him get in close, its not a good long distance attacker, so the further away you stay and pound on him from, the better. If you can lure him into the air, use the bird tackles, you have the aerial advantage. *************************************** VS. V Gundam *************************************** This suit is kind of a mystery to me, I rarely play as it, and when I play against it, it never seems to do the same thing, no patterns. So, rather than just BS and make stuff up, I’m telling you plain out, I have no exact strategy that I use for this suit. I would say though, that it’s a smart bet to take the chance and pull a mega attack right off the break. If it works, great, if not go in for a bird tackle, follow it with a beam saber if it works, If not, back step out using the canons to block your back. I’d say experiment with it, and if anyone wants to submit a strategy I’d be glad to post it. *************************************** VS. Quin Mantha *************************************** Another suit that is so popular on the boards and for the love of me I can’t figure out why. Anyway, this isn’t a very fast suit, but she does seem to block a lot. Her mega attack is decent, so if you go inside, at least be on your guard. It’s not that hard to get behind her, so try a couple mega attacks in the back, and if not just wait for the last overheat. She can go on some pretty ridiculous string combos, so get out on the start of them if you can. Being the only female pilot on the game, I find it a little odd that they don’t let her talk or anything. I’m actually not familiar with her, anyone fill me in? *************************************** VS. RX-78 *************************************** Aside from Burning Gundam, he is probably the closest thing to being your Wing Gundam counterpart, but don’t worry, your blaster is still longer than his. Hit him hard, and hit him fast, dash in off the break and hit him with the stun, then pull into a mega attack followed by saber then canons falling away combo, that should easily get him to overheat, and hopefully your canons got him while he was down. You can also reverse the order of the saber and the canons, using the saber in more of a sweeping method when hes down. Get this fight overwith quick, he is kind of a CPU favorite, and although he’s not that good, he can pull some dumb crap sometimes. Move in hard, and fast, and break his neck. *************************************** VS. Psycho Gundam *************************************** I still don’t see the big attraction to this suit, everyone on the GBA2 board seems to think it’s great, I guess it’s just me. Do not mistake me, approach the fight with caution, it’s obviously not like Ball or Hygogg. It does take damage well, so your mega attacks are going to be a key part of this fight, so make sure you use them on overheats or in the back, don’t just pull randomly, and he is probably quick enough to block if you try it right off the break. Watch out for his mega attack, although you shouldn’t have a big problem blocking or dodging it, watch re-entry on the dodge though. I
